Vincent Corcoran, PhD
Senior Psychologist
Dr. Vincent Corcoran is a Senior Psychologist at Wellness Associates who works part-time in a telehealth capacity. He has been a member of the Wellness Associates team since 2019, and is a licensed psychologist in NY. He offers individual psychotherapy to older adolescents and adults that are experiencing a range of mood and anxiety-related symptoms. Dr. Corcoran has extensive training in evidence-based practice, and primarily incorporates elements of cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) into his work. He considers his style of psychotherapy to be collaborative, transparent, and principle-driven. Dr. Corcoran aims to provide clients with the tools necessary to cope with their current lived experience.
Dr. Corcoran received his PhD in Clinical Psychology from Fordham University. He completed his APA-accredited predoctoral internship at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine/Montefiore Medical Center where he received intensive psychotherapeutic training across various clinical settings with a diverse client population.
Outside of Wellness Associates, Dr. Corcoran serves as an Assistant Professor in the School of Health Sciences at Russell Sage College. As a faculty member he trains future mental health professionals and spends time researching issues related to burnout, depression, non-suicidal self-injury, and suicide.
