Advanced Psychology Extern

Melanie (“Mel”) Scaccio is an Advanced Psychology Extern at Wellness Associates. She holds a Master of Science in Applied Psychology and a Master of Education in Special Education. Currently, Mel is in her final year of the Doctor of Psychology (PsyD) program in Clinical Psychology at Long Island University, Post. Mel is dedicated to tailoring treatment and providing personalized care that meets the unique needs and goals of each individual. She has a particular passion for working with children, teenagers, and young adults. In addition to being a clinician, Mel is also a yoga teacher and enjoys integrating aspects of mindfulness, breath work, and emotion regulation strategies into her clinical practice.
